A Kenilworth charity shop is set to close, with the unit now on the market.

The RSPCA store at Abbey End is currently having a closing down sale, with items available for half price.

The shop stopped taking donations on June 1 - apart from birthday cards which the charity will sell from its Leamington branch.

Local property agent is now advertising the unit is available to let, available for £27,500 per year.

"Kenilworth is an affluent market town in Warwickshire. Located five miles from Warwick and Royal Leamington Spa, and six miles South of Coventry," the advert says.

"The unit is located in a parade of shops fronting Abbey End. Nearby retailers include Almanack Bar & Restaurant, Oxfam, Subway, and other strong independent retailers.

"The unit benefits from a rear dedicated service bay with pay and display car parking."

A closing date for the town centre shop is yet to be confirmed.

Kenilworth Nub News has approached the RSPCA for comment.
