Kenilworth Chamber of Trade and Kenilworth Town Council are working together to encourage people to support local businesses in the run up to Christmas this year.

2020 has certainly been a tough year for many, and with this season being a key time for retail and hospitality, it is vital we all support local enterprises, safely. Kenilworth Chamber of Trade are encouraging all businesses in Kenilworth to take part in this campaign.

All residents of Kenilworth are also encouraged to sign up to the 'Support Local' campaign by thinking of Kenilworth first. Kenilworth has a fabulous array of shops, cafes, restaurants and salons and now they can benefit from a strong Christmas campaign that is there to support them.

How can you get involved?

If you're a business in Kenilworth:

  • Send the Chamber a picture of your perfect gifts, along with details of who you are and what's great about your business, for them to share (email [email protected])
  • Join in the campaign by using #supportlocalkenilworth in all your posts and tagging us in your stories

If you live or work in Kenilworth:

  • Support the campaign by shopping locally. If you can't find that perfect gift, consider a local gift card or voucher

The Mayor of Kenilworth Cllr Richard Dickson said "This year, more than ever, it's vital that whenever possible everyone in Kenilworth supports local businesses.

"We are enormously proud of the vibrancy of our town and of the sense of community we have in Kenilworth, and we all play a part in contributing to that.

"We understand that some residents may feel uncertain about coming into Kenilworth, but safety has been the number one priority and we have worked closely with businesses to ensure they are Covid-19 secure. Kenilworth is open for business".

Sarah Kershaw, Chair of the Chamber of Trade said "Kenilworth is full of great businesses who have worked tirelessly to adapt in what has been a most turbulent and difficult year.

"We're really excited about promoting our local businesses this Christmas and would encourage everyone to think local and support local".
