Local musicians, dancers and performers are being invited to perform at a free event that is part of the City of Culture 2021 celebrations.

'Beneath the Trees' will take place at Naul's Mills Park in Coundon on Saturday, August 28.

The event will be an urban village fete of music, food, dancing, performance, people, and storytelling for the whole family.

Organisers are currently inviting performers from all CV postcodes to register their interest in taking part. Local artists, and creators can also register for a table or gazebo to display and sell their work.

Registration is now open until 23 July 2021.

The event, which is being organised by Coventry Arts Collective and Coventry City of Culture Trust will take place in Edwardian park in the centre of the city. It has been commissioned as part of the #GreenFutures programme supported by the National Heritage Lottery Fund and the #LoveCoventry programme.

The event will be free but there will be a limited number of tickets. All 500 early bird tickets have been sold, with a second release expected soon on the Coventry City of Culture website.
