Kenilworth 57-year-old arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply

A 57-year-old man from Kenilworth has been arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

The man was arrested after a stop and search on Warwick Road, Leek Wootton on Tuesday, March 1.

Warwickshire Police's county lines disruption teem seized suspected class A drugs from his car.

He has been released under investigation whilst enquiries continues.

A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said: "On Tuesday (1 March) a 57-year-old man from Kenilworth was arrested and suspected class A drugs seized after a car was stopped in Warwick Road, Leek Wootton.

"The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and later released under investigation while enquiries continue."

The arrest comes just days after Kenilworth Nub News revealed that crime rates in the town hit at a three year low at the end of 2021.

Between January and December 2021 there were 28 arrests for drugs related crimes in Kenilworth.
