Information sessions announced for residents interested in becoming local councillors

Ahead of the local government elections in May 2023, Warwick District Council is holding information sessions for anyone interested in standing to become a district councillor.

Chris Elliott, chief executive of WDC said: "Becoming a councillor is a rewarding form of public service that puts people in a position where they can make a difference to the quality of someone's daily life.

"However, being a councillor is also a lot of hard work, with the needs and interests of many different people needing to be balanced.

"These sessions provide prospective candidates with all they need to know about the role of a district councillor. If you're interested, please do come along to find out more."

Session details:

  • 16 January 2023, 6pm – via Microsoft Teams
  • 25 January 2023, 6pm – Town Hall, Royal Leamington Spa
