A section of the Kenilworth Greenway near Burton Green will be temporarily diverted next month as part of ongoing HS2 works.

The diversion will be in place from 8am on Monday 19 October until 6pm on Monday 23 November 2026.

HS2 says the work will involve a minor amendment to the existing diversion route on the popular walking and cycling path.

Residents and Greenway users can expect increased levels of construction activity and noise while the work is carried out.

Working hours will be between 8am and 5pm.

The affected section is located near Burton Green, where HS2 construction activity has been ongoing as part of the high-speed rail project.

HS2 said the work forms part of a wider programme as the project undergoes a "comprehensive reset" aimed at ensuring the railway can be built efficiently and at the lowest reasonable cost.

The organisation said the reset is being carried out in stages and is due to be completed in 2026.

HS2 added that further updates will be provided to local communities on the reset programme and what it means for plans to build the railway in the area.
