HS2 announces month-long closure for Stoneleigh road

HS2 has updated plans to close a Stoneleigh road this month.
B4113 Stoneleigh Road and Stareton Lane will shut from Monday 23 March until Sunday 19 April 2026.
The closure will be in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
"We will be working on the east tie-ins, in preparation for the new realignment over the green overbridge later in the year," an HS2 statement said.
Contractors will be working through the night during the closure.
"The works will continue 24/7 during the road closures," the statement continued.
"Access to properties, Stoneleigh Park, will be maintained throughout the works. There will be no pedestrian access during the works. A fully signed diversion will be in place."
