Hundreds of locals were out lining the course as the Boxing Day Duck Race returned to Kenilworth today (December 26).

Organised by Kenilworth Lions, the annual festive event was kick started just before 12noon.

The day began with the corporate duck race which saw the larger decoy ducks take to Finham Brook.

Each of the over 70 ducks had been decorated and sponsors by local businesses.

Helen's Wool & Cotton Crafts was named the best-dressed decoy duck.

The Virgins & Castle won the corporate race, followed by Mettle & Grace and then Greens.

Mayor of Kenilworth Cllr James Kennedy then got the main race underway, tipping one of the buckets of plastic ducks into the brook.

Of the 1,500 ducks, the winners were:

1st = 945

2nd = 837

3rd = 326

4th = 1015

Kenilworth Lions had launched a new QR code on tickets this year to allow entrants to check the results online. However, the charity has had to apologise as most locals were not able to access the information.

Lions said: "Please accept our apologies; we were unaware that the service provider had capped the number of scans at 200. Lesson learnt for 2026!"
