Guests have flocked in their hundreds to the second instalment of Kenilworth's family-friendly beer festival this weekend.

KENFEST got underway on Friday night (May 3) and will conclude this evening - with all three days completely sold out.

Organised by Kenilworth Rugby Club, the community event was first launched last year and returned for 2024 even bigger than before.

As well as live music and food from local producers, the festival has showcased a whole range of beers from local producers and further afield.

And the weather has held out across the three days, with locals making the most of being out in the sun.

Speaking from the festival, Kenilworth RFC Director of Rugby, Jai Purewal said: 'Whilst we thought that there was room for a significant beer festival in Kenilworth and launched last year after a two-year delay due to Covid, we could never have imagined that the community would take KENFEST into their hearts so quickly.

"It's the best feeling in the world, looking out across the festival site and seeing smiling faces, everyone having a great time in a safe and relaxed environment, and knowing you had a bit to do with that.

"We have sold out again this year which is amazing and to be honest really helps de-risk the financial side of the event.

"Let's face it, putting on an outdoor event in UK is always a risk weather wise, but people buying their tickets early really gives us confidence to be able to invest in the event and make it better and better

"It is the case someone buying just one ticket is doing their bit towards making KENFEST a festival for the whole community to be proud of.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors, led by our main sponsor Bromwich Hardy, our volunteers and suppliers.

"Finally we want to say a huge thanks to everyone who has bought a ticket in support of the festival."
