The future of Kenilworth pub which closed suddenly earlier this year remains unclear.

The Bear & Ragged Staff on Warwick Road shut in May and is yet to reopen.

Landlord Greene King is yet to confirm a reason for the closure.

Nub News asked the national chain what the plans for the building were, and whether it would be sold. But Greene King said there was no update to be given.

When the pub closed in May, a company statement simply said: "We can confirm that the Bear & Ragged Staff in Kenilworth has now closed.

"Making the decision to close a pub is never an easy one, and we are grateful to everyone who has supported the Bear & Ragged Staff over the years."

In 2024 the town centre inn was granted planning permission for a major makeover and for a new beer garden.

The works never took place.
