Fundraising sale as Kenilworth Lions look to buy vision screening camera for local pre-school children

Kenilworth Lions is looking to raise £5,000 to buy a new vision screening camera for local pre-school children.
The charity is running a special open day at its furniture store on Thursday 11 September to help raise money for the project.
Locals can head to Farmer Ward Road from 3pm to 7.30pm to pick up some bargains and support a good cause.
"Kenilworth Lions are looking to raise money to buy a new type of Vision Camera which enables us (after training) to perform vision screening to our nursery population and children not covered by the school's program to detect amblyopia (lazy eye) causing blurry vision and loss of vision in young children," a spokesperson said.
"Approximately, five per cent of three to five year olds (our target group) will have already developed a treatable eye condition.
"We hope we can make a difference and support Lions Clubs in our district to achieve this also.
"This is the biggest service project Lions in our district will have ever undertaken and can provide benefits to many children."
Donations can also be made directly to the fundraiser here.
