A Kenilworth bank which closed at the start of August has now been put on the market.

HSBC shut its doors for the final time on Tuesday August 1 as the company shut 114 branches nationwide.

Having been stripped and the ATM machine removed that week, the empty unit at The Square has now been put up for sale with property agent CBRE for £350,000.

The brochure says: "The property comprises a two-storey building.

"The ground floor consisting of the main banking hall and meeting rooms with the first floor previously being used as storage, WCs and staff ancillary.

"There is a good parking provision to the rear."

HSBC announced the closure of the branch last year, saying the number of people banking in person had fallen 65 per cent over the past five years.

It also said 97.5 per cent of its transactions now take place online.

The town's closest branch will now be at The Parade in Leamington Spa.

Customers have also been told they can access some services at the Post Office in Abbey End.
