Flying Scotsman visiting South Warwickshire again this weekend
By James Smith 19th Feb 2026
The historic Flying Scotsman will once again head through Warwickshire this weekend.
Having already hauled the Shakespeare Express to Stratford-upon-Avon on Valentine's Day, the legendary steam locomotive will pull the same express again on Saturday (21 February).
Run by Vintage Trains, the steam excursion is a frequent visitor to Stratford, usually heading through Hatton and Henley-in-Arden.
However, with Flying Scotsman on the front, fewer details have been announced for the February editions.
The timings and locations of the engine are not usually reported for safety reasons and to ensure enthusiasts do not trespass on the railway line to see it.
The Vintage Trains website does say the excursion will leave Birmingham Snow Hill on Saturday 21, three times.
The first will leave at 9.30am and return at 12.45pm. The second will then leave at 1.30pm and return for 5.45pm. The evening excursion will be at 6.30pm and return for 9.45pm.
"Make this February unforgettable by booking an exciting mainline train journey hauled throughout by the legendary steam locomotive 'Flying Scotsman'," the website said.
"Sit back, relax and enjoy the view of the Warwickshire countryside as you enjoy the romance of the golden age of steam train travel on the mainline.
"This service is expected to be extremely popular with many people going to see this train.
"Please use safe vantage points to see and take pictures of the train – stay clear of the line and do not risk your safety or that of others by trespassing on the tracks. Thank you."
