Firefighters called to 'deliberate' fire near graveyard in Kenilworth's Abbey Fields

Firefighters were called to yet another "deliberate" fire in Kenilworth's Abbey Fields today (August 6), this time near the graveyard.
A statement from Kenilworth Fire Station said it is the second fire in less than 24 hours and the third in the space of a week.
"Thank you to local residents and those working nearby that gave accurate location information during their 999 call to fire control and waited and directed us to the fire," the statement said.
It added: "We need our resources available to be able to respond to life and property risk emergencies, which we can't do if we are dealing with a fire that has been mindlessly set."
