An organisation supporting the farming industry has moved into a flagship new headquarters near Coventry Airport.

Commercial property specialists Bromwich Hardy helped secure the deal which saw the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board move into International House on the Middlemarch Business Park – which is where Bromwich Hardy is also based.

Founding partner Tom Bromwich said: “International House is a stunning building, and we were delighted to be able to help the landlord secure such a prestigious tenant.

"We are based on the same business park so we can confidently assure any prospective tenant that it is a great place to do business!”

The building has been let on a 10-year lease at market rent.

International House has 16,121 sq ft (1,497.71 sq m) of accommodation across three floors and includes open plan office space, meeting rooms, boardrooms, a staff canteen and break out area.

Tom added: “The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board exists to help the industry develop and thrive, so Coventry is the perfect place for their headquarters. We are surrounded by the agricultural heartlands of England but have great motorway and rail connections with the rest of the country, so the setting is ideal.

“Since the pandemic we have noticed a huge demand for very good quality offices which offer a nice environment in which to work. International House certainly meets that criterion so it’s not surprising it was snapped up.”

The offices have ceiling mounted heating/cooling, good natural light, lift access to all floors and a welcoming reception area. There are also staff washrooms and showers.

The AHDB is funded by farmers, growers and others in the supply chain to help the industry succeed in a rapidly changing world. It aims to create a world-class food and farming industry, inspired by and competing with the best.

The head office in Baginton is supported by a network of more than 100 regional officers around the country. There is also an international team working to develop new export markets in China and the far East as well as supporting existing exports to established markets like France and Belgium.
