'Emergency' overnight works are due to take place on a Kenilworth road this week.

The A429 Kenilworth Road has been shut since June 2 for HS2 works, and is due to reopen temporarily this weekend.

To allow this, works will take place overnight on Monday (June 23), Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Works on site have been delayed by the recent hot weather.

Kenilworth Road is due to shut again on Monday 30 June 2025 to Sunday 20 July 2025.

"Emergency nightworks will be needed on the A429 tonight, Tuesday and Wednesday between 8pm and 4am to ensure the road can re-open by the end of this week," an update from Kenilworth Town Council said.

"The works have previously been delayed due to the recent hot weather.

"Residents affected will be contacted directly by HS2."

HS2 has been using the closure to finish embankments, reinstate and resurface the footpaths, position final utilities and complete highway drainage works.

Crackley Lane has also been shut this month with residents criticising HS2 for shutting both roads at the same time.
