A car which reportedly hit 100mph and drove on the wrong side of the road was stopped using a stinger near Kenilworth this morning (April 19).

Warwickshire Police officers attempted to stop the car in the early hours of the morning after catching it on the wrong side of the road near Sherbourne.

The vehicle then reportedly sped off from officers, hitting 100mph on the A46 before being brought to a stop with a police stinger near Kenilworth.

The force said the man has been charged with driving without due care and attention, failing to stop, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
