Dogs Trust Kenilworth searches for local Beagle lovers

Are you happy to rehome a hound? Dogs Trust Kenilworth is appealing to local dog lovers to help find forever homes for the nine Beagles and Foxhounds in the care of the charity.
Typically, these "clever and energetic" dogs love to use their nose to discover new things, and Dogs Trust Kenilworth is hoping to use these quirks to "help sniff out the perfect potential new owners" for these four-legged residents.
With Beagles and Foxhounds having such strong traits, the team at Dogs Trust Kenilworth is hoping to pair each of these inquisitive dogs with owners whose lifestyle suits the needs of the breed.
Emma Jane Thomas, Manager at Dogs Trust Kenilworth, said: "We're hoping to find the perfect homes for our Beagles and Foxhounds.
"These energetic and inquisitive dogs are all looking for places to relax, explore and have a second chance at happiness.
"Each dog is looking for slightly different homes, but they are all united in their mischievous hound nature that can make them so endearing."
Dogs Shared a short snippet on some of the dogs looking for new homes:
- Dublin and Slinky the Foxhounds are looking for homes with another dog to help them gain confidence and learn the ropes. Both have found the big wide world quite scary, but in time, the Dogs Trust team is confident that they'll learn just how fun life can be.
- Cooper and Bailey the Beagles, and Effie the Foxhound, are all looking to find quieter adult-only forever homes, with adopters who will help them settle in at their own pace and help them see that life can be a relaxing breeze.
- Maurice is a handsome, older, cheeky Beagle who is looking for a family with a sense of humour, who are happy to hear him howl. He is happy to live with children, and is happy to have four-legged friends, but wants to be the only pup in his new pad.
- Drax is a sensitive Beagle who can find new experiences a bit scary. He is looking for a rural, adult-only home, and would benefit from living with another pooch who can show him the ropes. Once he settles in, this vocal little lad will show you by letting you hear his voice.
- Ralph is a handsome, older Foxhound who was found as a stray and has never experienced the comfort of a home. He is looking for a slice of the quiet life where he can take things at his own pace and learn how relaxing a home can be. He is a gentle dog, and could live with children, but would like to be the only dog.
Both Effie and Maurice are lovingly known as Dogs Trust "Underdogs", a term used by the charity for dogs who have been "waiting for their forever home" for more than six months.
These dogs often require additional training, ongoing veterinary care, or have specific rehoming needs.
