Dates announced for Kenilworth Christmas light switch ons

Kenilworth's Christmas will once again be kicked started with the annual light switch on events this year.
As with previous years there will be events on both High Street and Warwick Road in 2025.
However, this year, the former will be run by the community, while the town centre event will be organised by Warwick District Council.
The High Street light switch on will take place on Friday 28 November from 5pm to 8pm.
The free event will feature food and drink, music and of course the lights will be turned on at 6pm.
Warwick Road's event will then be held on Sunday 30 November from 12noon to 8pm.
The council website said: "Come along to the Kenilworth Warwick Road Christmas Lights Switch-On and get into the festive spirit!
"There’ll be plenty to enjoy, from twinkling lights and seasonal stalls to tasty treats and entertainment for all ages.
"It’s a lovely way to kick off Christmas and share some festive cheer with the community. Lights switch on from 6pm."
£6,000 has already been budget for new LED lights for the High Street after the previous ones were ruined by being left out all year.
More details of the High Street light switch on will be released closer to the time.
Meanwhile the debate over the Warwick Road event continues, with a new plan for the event yet to be revealed as business owners ask for their shopfronts not to be blocked.
The High Street switch on is planned for Friday 28 November 2025.
