Dogs Trust Kenilworth is celebrating the rehoming of Bella Boo, the Labrador-Rottweiler crossbreed, after more than 600 days in the care of the charity. 

Five-year-old Bella Boo received lots of attention from potential adopters while in the care of the charity, but due to her specific rehoming and medical needs, she was often overlooked.  

Bella was looking for an adult-only home and needed a confident owner who could give her the calm, patient environment to help her settle in at her own pace, while managing her medical needs and taking her for the long, playful walks she loved so much. 

 The Dogs Trust team worked to help Bella Boo become comfortable wearing a muzzle when out on walks, more comfortable around new people and in new environments. 

Finally, after over 600 days in the charity's care, Bella Boo's lucky day came, when Jack, who had previously adopted Koda the Malinois Cross, one of Bella's kennel mates, returned to give this girl her forever home, having fallen in love with both of them. 

Dogs Trust has been able to help dogs like Bella Boo thanks to the generous support of Postcode Lottery players who have raised over £30 million for the charity, helping care for over 125,000 dogs since funding began in 2014. 

The charity is celebrating reaching this milestone fundraising total after 12 years of support which has helped provide essential daily care for dogs cared for at 21 rehoming centres across the UK. 

As well as helping dogs find a new home, funding from Postcode Lottery players has helped Dogs Trust's dedicated teams including training, behaviour and welfare specialists, fostering and volunteer co-ordinators, and many more to help thousands of dogs find their forever homes.
