The Old Bakery Golf Society recently held its annual Charity day at Nailcote Hall in support of the cardiac ward at Warwick Hospital.

The charity was chosen as one of the members of the society has benefited from excellent care after an emergency admission to the ward.

With the generous donations given by the Old Bakery's proprietors and members of the society through a raffle, golf hole sponsorship and various golfing forfeits a total of £1,000 was raised.

Cardiology nurse specialist Sue Haskins confirmed the ward has decided to buy TVs for the patients, sets of wireless headphones, together with some garden furniture and plants for the patients and staff to enjoy.
