Works to repair a burst water pipe in Kenilworth remain ongoing, having first been reported on Saturday (June 3).

While households across the town have started to have their water returned, others remain without running water.

Locals were originally told the works would be completed by 8pm on Saturday.

But an update at 8.56am on Monday morning from Severn Trent said: "We'd like to apologise to those experiencing water supply interruptions in the CV8 and CV35 of Kenilworth this morning.

"This is due to a burst water pipe. Our teams are on site working to repair this as soon as possible.

"Whilst the repair continues, we also have teams in the area working to restore the water supply by moving water around our network. As a result, you may experience lower water pressure and/or discoloured water as the supply returns.

"This is nothing to worry about and as our works progress your water supply will return to normal.

"We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing and thank you for your patience during this time."

Severn Trent has also apologised for disruption to traffic due to the works on Leamington Road.
