A Balsall Common road is set to close every afternoon for a week for HS2 works.

Lavender Hall Lane will shut at the end of September as works on the overbridge continue.

With the build in "an advanced stage of construction" the latest closure will see vegetation cleared.

The road will be shut from Monday 29 September to Friday 3 October 2025. On each day it will be closed from 1pm to 6pm.

Previously HS2 said the closure would be from 9am to 3pm.

"We are progressing works on the new road realignment which requires significant earthworks, utility and highway alterations to raise the existing road level by 10 metres," an HS2 statement said.

"These works will be carried out under a long term closure in early 2026."
