UPDATE: A46 reopens in both directions following flooding

The A46 has reopened in both directions a day after it was shut due to flooding.

National Highways confirmed the dual carriageway had reopened just after 7am this morning (January 7).

The A46 was initially shut between the A425 (Warwick) and the M40 (J15) on Monday morning.

National Highways said flooding on neighbouring fields had spilled onto the A46.

A car is also reported to have aquaplaned due to flooding in the area yesterday.
