'Vulnerable' person who had been missing for over a week found in Kenilworth on Christmas Eve

A missing person last seen over a week ago has been found in Kenilworth today.

The "vulnerable" person, who has not been named, was found sleeping rough in the town.

PCSO Craig Ricardo found the person "from the north east" with the help of a member of staff from Iceland who had responded to an appeal by Kenilworth's Safer Neighbourhood Team.

The missing person was found at 11am this morning (December 24) and is now on their way home.

A statement from Kenilworth Watch said: "This story belongs to Kenilworth and its Safer Neighbourhood Team, it warms the heart on a Christmas Eve and it shows the wonderful people that make up the brilliant and caring community that Kenilworth is.

"Craig's perseverance is looking for the missing person has ensured a positive outcome. I am sure everyone will wish to join Kenilworth Watch in thanking Craig and indeed all those at the Safer Neighbourhood Team at Kenilworth."
