Hundreds of locals headed to the war memorial in Abbey Fields on Sunday (November 12) for Kenilworth's Remembrance Sunday service.

The event was started by the parade which made its way along Albion Street and onto Abbey Hill, after leaving the Copper House Club at around 10.30am.

Many residents lined the pavements on Albion Street to watch the march led by the cadet's band.

Scouts and Guides joined the parade as it reached Abbey Hill.

As the rain abated in the town centre, the crowd gathered around the war memorial for the service and to observe the two minute's silence at 11am.

Wreathes were then laid at the memorial by representatives of a range of uniformed services and local organisations, including the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, Royal Navy, police and fire service.

Mayor of Kenilworth Cllr Alix Dearing and MP for Kenilworth and Southam Sir Jeremy Wright also laid a wreathe.

After the service - which finished with the National Anthem - the parade reformed on Abbey Hill and made its way back towards the Copper House Club - locals again gathered to watch as it marched away from the memorial.

Here is a short montage of clips and photographs from the day.
