The Talisman Theatre and Arts Centre is "thrilled to announce" its upcoming production of Sheila's Island by renowned playwright Tim Firth.

Set against the backdrop of a remote island in the Lake District, this comedy promises an evening of laughter, friendship, and unexpected twists.

Directed by Jill Laurie, Sheila's Island follows the story of four menopausal middle managers who find themselves stranded on an island during a team-building exercise gone awry.

As tensions rise and secrets are revealed, the women must navigate their way through challenges both comedic and profound, as they seek to survive by making weapons out of a bra and a spatula and put up a rescue flag fashioned together from a plastic plate and a corkscrew!

The stresses bring out the best and worst in them all as truths are told and dirty laundry aired – and they discover the true meaning of friendship and resilience along the way.

Director Jill Laurie shares her excitement about bringing this production to life: "Sheila's Island is a gem of a play that brilliantly combines humour and heart.

"Audiences can expect a rollercoaster of emotions as they join our characters on their hilarious and poignant journey. It's a privilege to work with such a talented cast and crew, and I can't wait for audiences to experience this story."

Featuring an all-woman cast of four, who make up Team C in Pennine Mineral Water Ltd's annual outdoor team-building weekend, this production promises laughter at every missed turn.

"Audiences can look forward to witty dialogue, captivating performances, and stunning set design from John Ellam that will transport them to the rugged beauty and fogginess of the Lake District.

Performances will run from Monday 20 May through to Saturday 25 May at the Talisman Theatre and Arts Centre, Barrow Road, Kenilworth.

Don't miss your chance to embark on this hilarious and heartwarming adventure! Tickets are now available online at www.talismantheatre.co.uk or contact the box office on 01926 856548.
