Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Kenilworth.
Moorings opposite village pub
Warwick District Council will tonight (March 30) discuss a retrospective planning application for 20 moorings opposite the Black Boy pub.
WDC officers have recommended that the plans be approved.
However, Lapworth Parish Council, Chadwick End Parish Council and CPRE have all raised objections based on the scheme's impact on the Green Belt.
Gypsy and Traveller Camp
Crackley Lane has been suggested as a possible site for a gypsy and traveller camp for the new South Warwickshire Local Plan.
Three areas in South Warwickshire were put forward in last summer's call for sites survey.
WDC and Stratford-upon-Avon District Council are also commissioning a report into the need for gypsy and traveller provision in the new local plan.
Tree felling approved
Developers Vistry Homes has been given permission to fell a number of trees in Budbrooke.
In total 14 trees will have works completed - six will be felled and the others will have their crowns lifted.
Vistry Homes said this was for: "Public safety as the trees are adjacent to to public access areas.
"In addition access across the land takes place from dog walkers who may be subject to falling debris."
HS2 Funding for Theatre
The Talisman Theatre has received a £75,000 grant from HS2 to help fund its big expansion plans.
The 158-seater theatre received planning permission for a two-storey extension, a new studio and lift in 2019.
But it will need to raise in excess of £1.3million to pay for the entire project.
