A spate of burglaries has hit Kenilworth this weekend, with six separate incidents being reported.

Warwickshire Police has reported burglaries on Bertie Road, Queens Road, and Bridge Street all overnight between June 12 and 13.

An attempted burglary was also reported on Southbank Road that night.

Police are also appealing for witnesses to a theft from a motor vehicle between 7pm on Friday 11 June and 7.30am on Saturday 12 June.

Another attempted burglary on Oaks Road has also been reported between 11pm on Sunday night (13 June) and 6.45am this morning.

The three burglaries all saw intruders enter the buildings through windows.

During the Southbank Road attempted burglary an intruder also attempted to enter the home through a bedroom window. However the householder disturbed them and the intruder ran away.

A statement from Kenilworth Watch said: "This spate of burglaries overnight highlights the need to ensure that your home is secure at all times and especially in the evening and overnight particularly in the current warm weather we are enjoying.

"Please check and make sure windows and doors, particularly windows at ground level, are secure before retiring to bed."

If you think you may have seen or heard anything suspicious or have CCTV footage that may be useful or any other information about any of these incidents then please contact Warwickshire Police on 101 or alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 1111

Further details on the incidents can be found on the Kenilworth Watch website.
