Christmas cheer will still be provided by the Talisman Theatre this December, as the people of Kenilworth are invited to a Talisman Christmas Special at the end of next week

In place of the traditional gathering of members of the Talisman Theatre on the Saturday before Christmas, this year the theatre are hosting a very 2020 party, with their Christmas Special going online.

Organised and presented by Vicky Whitehill and Stephen Duckham, the virtual event will see 15 different performers entertain crowds from the comfort of their own homes.

The stream will go live at 7.45pm on Saturday, December 19, and will be available for theatre lovers via a link provided on social media.

Stephen said to Nub News "As with so many things this year, events like this have been cancelled due to the restrictions caused by this awful pandemic. But in true Talisman spirit we will not be daunted and so a number of our members have contributed to an online entertainment.

"Songs, readings and comedy pieces are on the bill to be enjoyed by everyone. As with the weekly Tea with the Tali, a link will be provided for you to join in the festivities."

The Talisman Theatre has been at the forefront of keeping the community spirit alive this year, having been producing their weekly productions 'Tea with the Tali' every week since the first lockdown began.

The theatre has also announced a live streaming of their 2010 production of 'Mother Goose' to ensure that avid panto fans in Kenilworth will not go without this year.
