West Midlands Railway has confirmed that no trains will run through Kenilworth Station from Monday, January 18

Kenilworth Station sits on the Leamington Spa to Nuneaton via Coventry Line. However, WMR have confirmed that no trains will run on the line from Monday for the foreseeable future.

Trains will be replaced by a bus service.

The decision has been taken as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and the resulting shortage of train crews.

A number of services on the line had already been operated by a bus replacement prior to this announcement.

A statement from WMR said "Unfortunately, services on the Leamington Spa – Nuneaton via Coventry line will be served by rail replacement bus from Monday 18 January until further notice.

"This is as a result of train crew shortages, and protection of mainline services for key workers. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
