Personal (care) Assistant for middle aged disabled woman and family

As it involves support with personal care to a woman, this role is not open to men.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, and ideally have experience with general household tasks.

We have a cat so it is also important that candidates are happy handling cats and are not allergic to them.

Due to vulnerabilites in the household I provide good face masks (and can be flexible about which one to provide) and expect PAs to wear these to reduce our exposure to illnesses.

This role is a really valuable one supporting Nicola, a 40 year old disabled woman, and her family, to live independently, mainly in their home but sometimes on outings and trips away.

I'm looking for one or two candidates to cover my support needs on Tuesdays and Saturdays, so if you are interested in working either or both days I would love to hear from you. Most of the hours would be in the mornings between 8 and 2, but I may need afternoon or evening shifts sometimes too, depending on activities. Generally at least one week's notice can be given of irregular shifts on these days.

The role involves supporting me with my morning routine at home, as well as with laundry and food preparation and preparing for or accessing activities such as swimming, or other ones for my child, so some tasks are very regular and others vary quite a lot from day to day.
