We're thrilled to announce that Sam McKee will be joining us for our next Why I Believe event on Tuesday 18th November!
Sam McKee is a scientist and researcher with an exceptional academic background and a passion for exploring the relationship between science and faith. He holds nine qualifications across four disciplines, including a BSc in Genetics from the University of Cambridge, a BA (Hons) in Theology from the University of Chester, and two master's degrees in Molecular Biology and Research from Birkbeck, University of London.
He is currently completing a PhD in the History and Philosophy of Science and a funded PhD in Biomedicine. Sam works as an Associate Tutor and Researcher at Manchester Metropolitan University and as a part-time biomedicine researcher at the University of Reading, focusing on DNA-repair proteins.
Beyond academia, his research and leadership recently led to an experiment being launched into space with SpaceX in 2023.
He'll share his own journey of faith as a researcher and academic, exploring why belief in God still makes sense today.
This promises to be an incredible evening full of insight, honest discussion, and hope.
It's completely free (though donations are welcome), and it's the perfect opportunity to bring along friends, sceptics, and seekers alike.
