A fine Ali display saw Aston Manor inflict a 94-run defeat on Kenilworth Cricket Club's first XI this Saturday.

Table-topers Aston set a fine 255-5 from their 50 overs, and then provided a strong bowling attack to secure the win in their WCCL Division One fixture.

Opener Ali's fine 91 was followed by Shahid (62 not out), Junhva (28), Mufti (25) and Mazhar (22).

Connor Shingler took 2-50 for Kenilworth whilst Joe Atkinson and Darius Potten-Ravenshad too a wicket each.

Tom Booker took a catch and a stumping behind the sticks.

In reply Kenilworth started well and it was not until the 12th over that the first wicket fell when Booker departed for 20. The Town side then struggled against the accurate Aston attack and found runs hard to come by, with wickets falling regularly.

Stuart Cope with 39 was the side's top scorer but the target was far out of reach and they had to settle and end the day on 161-9 from their 50 overs.

Aston used nine bowlers with Khan taking 3-26 and Shahzad 2-12

Kenilworth 2nd XI v Warwick

Kenilworth's second XI could only manage 90 as they were bowled out within 34 overs by neighbours Warwick.

Warwick posted 205-7 from their 50 overs, claiming a 115-run victory this Saturday.

A. Sharma hit an unbeaten 71 and P. Sharma 65 for Warwick, despite the best efforts of Jono Sparks who took 3-58 and Dave Gamble 2-14 from 10 tidy overs.

Kapil Dubey and Sam Leach each took the other two wickets as Tom Skinner claimed two outfield catches.

Only Chris Prophet with 40 and Dave Smithson 10 managed to reach double figures for Kenilworth as the side were skittled out for 90, losing their last eight wickets for 30 runs.

Singh ripped through the line up taking 4-5 off 6.3 overs, and T. Sharma added 2-7 from his six overs to give Warwick a comprehensive win.

Kenilworth 3rd XI v Bearley

Kenilworth third XI secured a tight 27-run victory over Bearley this weekend to move top of their division.

The Town side opened the batting and posted 202-9 from their 40 overs thanks to skipper Steve Kelley who hit a solid 74. Dhruv Vyas added 47 and Will Thompson 25.

With the bat Bearley started well with openers L. Ross and Mirza making 27 and 26 respectively.

D. Ross added 28 and Wood 26 but the side were bowled out for 175 as Kenilworth's Ben Clarke claimed his maiden five-wicket haul for the club as he took 5-29. Matt Dadswell took 2-44 and James Adamson 1-7 with two sharp run outs accounting for the other wickets.
