Kenilworth residents to benefit from new flexible bus tickets

Kenilworth residents will now be able to access more affordable public transport through the introduction of a new flexible bus ticket.
Introduced this week by National Express Coventry, the ticket is designed to be an affordable solution to workers who do not need to travel to work every day.
The 'Flexifare' pass will enable customers to travel up to 13 days each month, as the company hopes to aid workers who are gradually returning to the workplace.
Priced at £39 for the 13 days, this does offer a saving, as single tickets for the day would normally cost in the region of £4.
Moreover, the flexibility of the pass is such that any unused day in a month can be rolled over to the next, again accommodating for the irregularities and inconsistencies that we are currently facing.
Further offers are available, as A 10 day ticket can also be purchased for £35.
Chris Gibbens, commercial director at National Express Bus, said: "We have listened to our customers and designed new flexible tickets and ways of buying bus travel to suit how we're working since the virus changed our way of life.
"If you're only going into work a few days a week, you probably don't need a weekly or a monthly pass at the moment. So you can now get a bus ticket that matches your situation - and it works out cheaper than getting a day ticket every time. Our new tickets put you in control and mean you're only paying for what you use.
"If you're pretty sure you're mainly going in to work three days a week, our new Flexifare gives you 13 days' travel a month for £39. This new ticket is available via subscription, so you can turn it on and forget about it."
National Express Coventry had announced last month that they would be reducing fares, again to help aid workers returning to normality.
In Kenilworth, National Express operate the number 11 service from Coventry to Leamington, and the 539 which runs between Coventry and Kenilworth via Bagington.
