Highways England have issued an update on the planned works on A46 Glasshouse Wood Footbridge Replacement Scheme which was due to start this week.

The scheme was due to begin yesterday and finish today (October 21), however due to "unforeseen circumstances" the works had to be delayed by a week.

They will now take place on Tuesday, October 27, and Wednesday, October 28.

As a result of the works, on the Tuesday the A46 northbound from the A46/A452 at Kenilworth to the A46/Stoneleigh Road, will be closed fully from 8pm to 6am.

The following day, the A46 southbound from the A46/Stoneleigh Road to the A46/A452 at Kenilworth, will be fully closed 8pm to 6am.

Emergency service vehicles will not be affected.
