Event of the Week: Get signed up for Kenilworth Carnival Trail

As pubs and hospitality venues open again, and group events begin to be organised we have launched our 'Event of the Week' article to shine a spotlight on what's on locally.

There are many events taking place in Kenilworth, which you can find on our recently revamped What's On section.

Our top pick from local events this week is the the Kenilworth Carnival Trail.

Even though the Kenilworth Carnival is actually taking place on 26-27 June, we are encouraging all Kenilworth households and businesses to start thinking about the 'Carnival Trail' in advance.

Whilst the carnival is set to go ahead this year, the procession will not happen for the second year in a row due to the complications of social distancing.

However, in its place the carnival organisers are encouraging residents, businesses and community groups to decorate the front of their homes and premises with colour and creativity to create a 'Carnival Trail' for the town

Organisers will also publish a list of those taking part closer to the weekend for other residents to follow. Decorations will need to be in place from the morning of Saturday, June 26.

A Carnival Cup will then be given to the winners in each of the following categories:

- Individual houses/flats

- Commercial premises (e.g. pubs, shops and offices)

- Community spaces (e.g. churches/day centres etc)

To get involved send an email to [email protected] with your name, theme and contact details.

You can list your events - e.g. shows, films, sports fixtures, quiz nights, local markets, steak nights at the local pub, jazz choir rehearsals, or anything else - on our What's On page FREE of charge, just click this link and then click the black 'Nub It' button.
